Setup Guide

This guide gets you from "I have my login details" to "I'm watching" on whichever device you use. Start with Before you begin, then jump to your device. Each section takes five to fifteen minutes.

Before you begin

What you should have

After your order is confirmed you receive one of the following by email:

• Xtream Codes login: a server URL (including http:// or https:// and usually a port number such as :8080), a username and a password.
• M3U playlist link: a long web address that loads your channel list, usually with a separate EPG link for the programme guide.

If you have both, use the Xtream Codes login where your app supports it — the programme guide and on-demand sections load automatically.

Check your connection

Allow about 5 Mbps for each HD stream and 25 Mbps for each 4K stream playing at the same time, plus headroom. A wired Ethernet connection is best for the main TV; otherwise use 5 GHz Wi-Fi. If you see buffering later, follow our stable IPTV checklist.

Keep your login private

Your login is your subscription. Don't share it or post screenshots of it. Using it on more screens at once than your plan allows can interrupt your viewing.

Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube and Fire TV smart TVs

1. Check your Fire TV software

Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About. Most devices run Fire OS. Some newer models run Vega OS, which installs apps only from the Amazon Appstore — on those, use step 2 only.

2. Install a player from the Amazon Appstore

1. From the home screen, choose Find → Search.
2. Search for "IPTV player" or the name of the player you've chosen.
3. Select the app and choose Get.

3. (Fire OS only) Install a player from its developer

Some reputable players are distributed from the developer's own website.

1. Install Downloader from the Appstore.
2. Show Developer Options: Settings → My Fire TV → About, then select your device name seven times.
3. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps and turn it on for Downloader only.
4. Open Downloader, enter the download address published on the player's official website, install, then delete the installer file.
5. Turn the permission off again.

Never install apps from links sent in messages or comments.

4. Add your login

Open the player, choose Add playlist or Add user, select Xtream Codes (or M3U URL) and enter your details exactly. For M3U, add the EPG link in the guide settings.

5. Recommended settings

• Settings → Display & Sounds → Display → Match original frame rate: on.
• Use an Ethernet adapter if your stick is far from the router.

Android TV and Google TV (TVs and boxes)

1. Open the Google Play Store on the TV.
2. Search for your chosen IPTV player (for example TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro or OTT Navigator) and install it.
3. Open the player and choose Add playlist.
4. Select Xtream Codes and enter the server URL, username and password — or choose M3U playlist and paste the link, then add the EPG link.
5. Wait for the channels and guide to download.
6. In the device's display settings, turn on frame-rate matching if available.

Typing long links with a remote is tedious; many players let you type from a phone through a companion web page, or you can use the Google TV app on your phone as a keyboard.

Samsung smart TVs (Tizen)

1. Press Home and open Apps.
2. Search for an IPTV player that supports M3U or Xtream Codes. Availability on Samsung's store changes over time.
3. Install and open the app.
4. If the app asks you to type your details, enter them as above.
5. If the app shows a MAC address instead, go to the developer's official website on your phone or computer, enter that MAC address and your playlist or Xtream details, then restart the app on the TV.
6. Some players charge a small activation fee per TV after a free trial; pay only on the developer's official site.

LG smart TVs (webOS)

1. Open the LG Content Store (or Apps) from the home menu.
2. Search for an IPTV player that supports M3U or Xtream Codes and install it.
3. Enter your login in the app, or upload it against the TV's MAC address on the developer's website if the app works that way.
4. Restart the app to load your channels and guide.

Apple TV

1. Open the App Store on Apple TV.
2. Install an IPTV player such as iPlayTV or GSE Smart IPTV.
3. Add your Xtream Codes login or M3U link (and EPG link).
4. Go to Settings → Video and Audio → Match Content and turn on Match Dynamic Range and Match Frame Rate.

iPhone and iPad

1. Open the App Store and install an IPTV player (for example GSE Smart IPTV, IPTV Smarters or another player with good reviews).
2. Add your login or playlist.
3. To watch on the TV, use AirPlay to an Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV, if the app supports it.

Android phones and tablets

1. Open the Google Play Store and install an IPTV player.
2. Add your Xtream Codes login or M3U link.
3. Use the app's favourites and parental-control settings as on TV.
4. Many apps support casting to a Chromecast or Google TV device.

Windows and Mac computers

• VLC media player (free): choose Media → Open Network Stream (Windows) or File → Open Network (Mac) and paste your M3U link. Good for testing, with a simple channel list.
• Dedicated IPTV players for desktop offer a guide and on-demand sections; install them only from official app stores or the developer's website.
• Kodi with the official PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on gives a full TV interface with a guide.

MAG and Formuler boxes

MAG and similar boxes typically use a portal URL rather than an M3U link or Xtream login, and the provider links your subscription to the box's MAC address. Ask us before ordering whether portal access is available for your plan.

1. Send us your box's MAC address (printed on the label underneath; MAG addresses start with 00:1A:79).
2. On the box, go to Settings → Servers → Portals.
3. Enter the portal name and the portal URL we send you.
4. Save and restart the box.

Formuler boxes run Android and also support player apps; their built-in MyTVOnline app accepts portal, Xtream and M3U logins.

Loading the programme guide (EPG)

• With Xtream Codes logins the guide usually loads automatically.
• With M3U playlists, add the EPG link under the app's EPG or TV guide settings.
• The first download can take a few minutes.
• If times are wrong, check the time zone on both the device and the app, and use the app's EPG time offset if needed.
